Noise Bylaw
Noise Bylaw No. 403 regulates or prohibits the making or causing of noises or sounds
in or on a highway or elsewhere in the Regional District which disturb or tend to
disturb the quiet, peace, rest, enjoyment, comfort or convenience of the neighbourhood,
or of any persons in the vicinity. The Bylaw applies to all Electoral Areas of the
Regional District of Central Okanagan and specifically includes the part of Okanagan
Lake that lies within the boundaries of the Electoral Areas. It is enforced by complaint
only.
Persons who violate provisions of this bylaw are subject to fines or may, on summary
conviction, be liable to penalties under the Offense Act.

- civic address or best detailed description of problem location
- any owner or occupier information (if known)
- your specific concern
- your name, address and phone number, so the inspector can contact you for further
information (not mandatory, but helpful and is not given out)
Please note that the bylaw is not enforced pro-actively. Your concerns or complaints
must be reported to initiate enforcement.
