Land uses within most of the Regional District of Central Okanagan are regulated by Official Community Plans and Zoning Bylaw No. 871.  The Joe Rich area, however, has its own unique set of land use policies and regulations.

As of October 1st, 2007, the Regional Board adopted an updated Joe Rich Rural Land Use Bylaw No. 1195.
